Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy... Check!

Now comes the topic of PT and OT from before...

This all happened in 2011 to 2012...

Yes I was no longer at physical therapy in Dr. G. clinic because it was only for her patients, but once a week I attend what was called Wellness kinda like gym membership at Dr. G. clinic and get therapy from them in order to use the off weighted device I did that till I could. So off I went back to where I was before at Out Patient Rehab for Baptist Hospital. I was going to PT and OT at the out patient clinic from the hospital where they made things fun and I was able to joke around with them, but still get my work done till I couldn't and I'll tell you why in a minute. For now I'll tell you what I was doing I was getting better slowly, not a big difference from the last place because this place didn't have the off weighted device.

Let me clarify something before I go on at Dr. G's clinic the Physical therapist there was amazing I can't complain. She and her staff made my time there go by fast it also was fun in another level. See she knew my straight and my weaknesses, which gave her a better understand of how to go one with my treatment. We played soccer, basketball, and sometimes just threw a ball around with the intention of me catching it. While at the hospital clinic since I wasn't able to stand and walk around I was limited in the games I could play. So they well I should say she as well because I mostly stayed with same physical therapist during my time there came up with different activities I could do for example weights on my legs and pulling someone around in a circle in their clinic. They were both equally fun to be around.

I would go back and forth sometimes with my progress, but then again who doesn't with SPS. Not to mention I made it was hard for them, because at the beginning of that summer I was diagnoses with AVN, which is short of Avascular necrosis of the hip, and that was no bueno. I could not put pressure on hip which meant no stand exercises. Yeah a whole hour of stretching was what they wanted for three months... Yeah they weren't going for that I had to do something I couldn't use the off weighted device anymore, because I wasn't with Dr. G's clinic anymore I was at the other place I was limited in what I was able to do. They figured it out and I was able to work out with them till I couldn't anymore and well that's next!

What's going on with life now!

So you might think I have it all going for me now... yeah that's not the deal see I haven't been able to go back to physical therapy or occupational therapy nor have I been able to go back to the gym. I'm on more medication then I have ever been. My cardio has given me release to go back and do all those things, but I've got obstacles after obstacles to go through. First they cardio doc wanted all my doctor's to give me the OK to go back. So second my neuro doc gave me the OK to go back to pt and ot, because I was stiffer then I was before. She continued my IVIG but keeps pushing chemo, although I don't want it I rather stay on IVIG a lot less side effects not to mention I think I'm doing pretty darn good on it. Then came my PCP she was like right away all chilled back yup go back to pt, and I was till I had an episode... My new episodes which we all like to call Vanessa falling in to a COMA! Yeah that's right I fall into such a deep sleep it's c...

Oh Gosh it December Already and All This has Happened!

Who would have known that year would go back so fast it started off rocky to say the least and now look at where I am... As January came it was sure that I wouldn't see Physical and Occupational Therapy for a while. My heart just wasn't taking it, so it seemed that was off the table till there was a solution. Although we all knew what that was we didn't want to think about it, surgery. Once the time came the doctors told my mom she'll be out in one hour that hour came and went, and I was still in surgery my cardio doctor was not taking no for an answer. My parents were updated on my status so they weren't to alarmed, but when he came out and said I was out and in recovery he explained to them that no matter their efforts my heart rate was never going to be normal at that alone was a problem. I was going to have to be a heart medication to help stabilize my heart rate, but it was almost never going to go lower then 80 beast per min. You might think that's norma...
